TrackSeries is the kind of app you may check every day. You open it to see what aired, choose the next episode, or work through a backlog that somehow keeps growing. We think an app you spend that much time with should feel like yours.

That starts with a choice between light and dark.

Beta testers have had early versions of both for a while. We used that time to design two themes specifically for TrackSeries, rather than adding a switch that simply inverted a few colors. TrackSeries Light keeps the familiar blue and orange identity. TrackSeries Dark uses deeper blue surfaces with a warmer accent that still feels like the same app.

Now both are available to everyone.

More room to make it yours

Light and dark cover the basics, but personal taste rarely stops there.

Some of us use the same palette across our editor, terminal, browser, and desktop. It creates a bit of consistency between the tools we use all day. Themes can also be a small way to express yourself. Maybe you like muted colors, warm paper tones, or a dark interface that is not pure black.

That is why we extended the new theme system well beyond our own two themes. TrackSeries now includes 27 themes in total.

We did not want a collection of palettes that looked good in the header and strange everywhere else.

We spent a lot of time checking every theme across the dashboard, show pages, episode cards, calendars, forms, menus, progress bars, and charts. Buttons need to remain obvious. Text needs enough contrast. Watched and unwatched states need to make sense. The accent color should give each theme its character without taking over the page.

The result is one interface with many personalities, not 27 unrelated coats of paint.

Some themes needed more work than others. Light palettes were especially easy to get wrong. Catppuccin Latte, Tokyo Night Day, and Rosé Pine Dawn all went through several rounds before their large surfaces, controls, and accents felt balanced.

Try before you save

The theme picker previews each option immediately. Search by name, filter between light and dark themes, and move around until one feels right. TrackSeries only saves the change when you confirm it, so experimenting is safe.

There is also a System option that follows your device preference and switches between TrackSeries Light and TrackSeries Dark. New visitors start with System, so TrackSeries matches their device automatically.

To change your theme:

1. Open your profile menu in the top-right corner. You can also go to Settings and find the Interface section.
2. Under Theme, choose TrackSeries Light, TrackSeries Dark, or System, or select Explore all themes... to open the complete collection.
3. Select any theme to preview it across the current page.
4. Select Use this theme to save your choice.
